| OK i
received some error codes so I then had to purchase a USB OBD scanner.
Grabbed one off eBay really cheaply. I am not endorsing this one
over others. Just this is the one i bought. I had to contact
the manufacturer to get it to work. Here is what I HAD to do. 1
Unplug the internet from my computer so when I plugged the OBD scanner
in, Vista asked for drivers rather than going to the net for them.
2 Use the drivers on the disk that came with the OBD scanner
3 Set the com port of the device to COM3
4 Load Program Software and ensure the software is set to COM3 with
Baud rate changed from "9600" to "38400"
4 Right
click My computer----> Properties----> Hardware----> Device manager---->
Interface
Then check if it shows usb Serial Port(com3) and Baud Rate 38400.
